The work behind Motively.
I started Motively in 2024. Since then, I’ve helped founders and teams in Saudi Arabia, the UK and the US hire from Pakistan.
A lot of these relationships started with one requirement. Then another came up. Over time, the work spread across tech, operations, marketing, design and creative.
Here’s a look at some of it, covering both placements and searches.
50+placements
15+companies
$500k+compensation value across placements
Client names stay private for confidentiality. If we’re talking about working together, I can share more context privately where permitted.
Several roles. A better understanding of the team each time.
Full-stack and backend engineering, product design, QA, product marketing and infrastructure.
Working across those requirements meant getting familiar with the people behind the briefs. What leadership expected, how the team worked and what made someone a good fit beyond their CV.
The relationship has included placements across engineering, design and QA, alongside searches for other parts of the business.
Some hires grew beyond the original brief.
The work has covered executive assistance, Founder Associates, marketing, sales development, DevOps and QA.
For some roles, the requirement was clear from the start. For others, we had to work through what the founder needed help with before deciding who to look for.
Across the placements and searches, some hires have since been promoted and taken on more responsibility. It’s good to see the work carry on well after the introduction.
A broad first hire. More specialised work followed.
Founder support came first. Retention, CRM and marketing automation became part of the wider work.
The Founder Associate requirement called for someone comfortable moving between tasks and working closely with leadership. Marketing brought a different set of needs around relevant experience and depth.
The relationship has covered placements and further searches as those requirements developed.
Hiring around how an agency actually runs.
Client work changes. So do the people and hours needed to deliver it.
The work has covered founder support, marketing operations, content, graphic design, video editing and project management, through a mix of part-time roles, contracts and longer engagements.
Some started with a trial. Some grew into more work together. Across the relationship, we’ve handled multiple placements and searches for both creative delivery and the operations around it.
What do you need help with?
You don’t need a finished job description. Tell me what’s taking up your time, what the person would do and the budget you have in mind.
We can work through it.
